The kayakswarm is an unofficial group of paddling aficionados who
enjoy
paddling our local
rivers and streams. Members include both recreational as well as
more
advanced boaters. Our
typical venues include early morning exercise paddles, ad-hoc
weekend
paddles, moonlight
swarms, and added in 2008
The Great
Meramec GPS Paddle.
In 2009
the water monitoring and photography effort was extended to float
the
Courtois and Huzzah Creeks.
In 2010
we are paddling and
monitoring the Bourbeuse River.
In 2011
we are paddling and
monitoring the Big River.
For
the
2008 Great Meramec GPS Paddle,
Jim and Dianne Darlington were given the Water Quality Monitoring Ambassador
Award!!
